Not sure if this should be here or trash talkers, but here it goes.
Was up in Inlet, NY over this past w/e and about 1030-1045PM on Sat night on South Shore Road, hear all sorts of commotion right behind motel. Stepped outside to see what was up, and this is what I saw:
-2 people standing near 2 sleds. 1 running 1 not. Another sledder stops to see if all ok. Guy mentions sled rolled over and not sure if the sleds flooded or has spare plugs. Says too he's heading in direction of The Ole Barn. Rider takes off.
-Other rider (a lady), and guy start shouting with the guy cussing at the girl for wrecking his sled and that she wasn't thinking.
- She gets P/O'd with him, takes her helmet off and throws it on the ground and starts to walk way, back to pizza place at bottom of hill, while guy started to hook up tow rope.
-He runs down hill after her, all the while yelling at her. She's yelling at him telling him she hates him and that he's more concerned about his sled than her.
- They both come back up to sleds. Both still shouting. Mind you she NEVER swore, but he did. She repeated that she hates him.
-She starts back down hill and he runs and tackles her onto the snowbank and pins her down briefly. Back to the sleds they go.
- He still ranting about bent handlebars and all (looked like a REV). Tells her to sit down on his sled. Still spewing off about sled and helmet. Says too how she's preventing him from getting a house and other things. How? Says he's unstable. No kidding!
- Tries to take off with her behind him on his sled. She falls off (intentaily I feel).
- Again she repeats she hates him.
-He then gets off his sled after she fell off and physically picks her up and puts her on sled in front of him (like we would with little kids) and then heads down the trail.
Now you're asking yourselves why I didn't intervene? I'm only 5'7" and this guy stood probly over 6' and probly well lit to boot. Had he struck her, then I would not have hesitated to help her. My point is that I hope she dumps this guy and he had NO right treating her like that. 10 sheets to the wind or not. Accidents happen and that's what insurance is for. No one got hurt and sled could have been p/u with truck/trailer. This guy had no beef taking the mishap out on her and I perceive him as being an abusive jerk and she deserves better. So, if one or both happen to read this or others that know them, give him both barrels and the riot act. Ma'am, I hope you dump him and don't give up snowmobiling.
