We planned this trip to the Packer/Cowboy game way too late, now all the lodging is full in and around Green Bay. Anyone know of a small place we might find two rooms at in the area? Some small places don't come up on internet searches. Don't want to try to get out of the madhouse parking lot at 11pm and then drive back up to Menominee, Mi to a motel. Not looking good.

if you wanna help feed the Indians, the casino is there but it ain't "under" the radar, in fact it is the radar.
Stay in Appleton or Oshkosh and commute if you wanna stay away from the crowds.

phhhffftt...learned when I was 4 that a man wearin cowboy boots is only willin ta kick just so hard before he snaps a toe, what with em bein all pinched tagether like dat....wit a wellington cut boot tho, they can go fer a 80 yrd'er wit full extension

Zert, if those don't work out, try calling one of the local chamber of commerces and see if there's any bed and breakfasts in the area. Heck, sometimes they're cheaper than hotels... you may have to share a bathroom down the hallway with another couple, but it's dry and has a bed.

i live in suring which is a hour northwest of GB. so you have oconto which is right off of 41 or oconto falls which is right off of 141. you could also see if there is anything in howard, suamico, abrams, but i would say the best bet is oconto and oconto falls. both of those towns have a couple nice motels in them, and both are only oh 30-40 minutes north of GB as well.

the riverview inn is right on 41 across from the river. nice looking place, i go by there quite a bit when i head to the doctors office
and then oconto falls

don't know much about the two hotels in oconto falls, other then they are "downtown" by a small family restaurant and a bar if IIRC
