4-tec. Yamaha still dominates the high performance market. after riding the new doos last year i'd have to agree that they are the best choice for everyone except the elderly and women.
will Yamaha ever lose at the soo again?

I think most consumers agree with you...that's why Doo is dominating in sales.
Don't you think it demonstrates Yam's feebliness when Doo makes a 4-stroke that Amsnow calls as close to a toss up as it gets when compared to Yam's best 4 stroke 7 model years in?
How they didn't factor the undersized tank on the Nytro into that comparison I'll never know. I guess they think it's ok for a 4 stroke to get the same miles per tank as the average 2 stroke.
They also said they believe the Doo was faster.

The big knock on this board has been size of engine. Do you rate the 600s in the same class as the 800s, the 800s in the class with the 1000s, no you don't, then rate the 4/strokes the same. If the Doo is faster, and I don't know if it is, remember it is lighter and 1200cc.
They also said they believe the Doo was faster.

LOL!
Why deal with a heavy 4 stroke laden with mainenence when there is clean lightweight power out there.
Also it's nice having a rope to pull it if the battery died.
