I dont think sales numbers have anything to do with excelence. If that were the case a ford taurus is a better car than a BMW745. VW bug is the best selling car of all time.

Didn't ski-doo also claim the 4-tec was 40 lbs lighter??? It's not. They (the nytro and 4 tec are with in a couple of pounds of each other...also they said the doo had more top end...but the nytro was quicker. Remember it was ski-doo who slammed 4 strokes...now they make one... I wonder why??? I mean who would want a heavy slow 4 stroke...right doo fans???

Well after 7 years, Doo should be able ta copy enough ta get is close.

Doo claims a 23 pound difference, so wet they are probably pretty close since the Nytro has an unreasonably small fuel tank.
I think the dig on "heavy 4 strokes" is partly in context of them not handling well...which still plagued Yam through last year. Up to this year, there was good reason to slam 4-strokes. They were just too far from as good as the best 2 strokes in too many areas.

My 1976 John Deere Spit Fire was 295 lbs, that must make it one of the best sleds ever. Funny how weight was everything until Ski Doo came out with 4/stroke.

The nytro still has a range of 120-130 miles even with a 7 plus gallon fuel tank.
No doubt the nytro had it's handling issues last year...the vectors and apex's were fine...as long as you ran duce bars...or dually's..most people buying four strokes don't give a******about the weight....does weight really matter when it comes to the average trail rider?? Probably not. I think other than weight, you really don't have any good reasons to slam 4 strokes. Ski-doo now makes one...kinda makes them look like hippocrites if you ask me...ski-doo was by far the worst about slamming yamaha...now all of the sudden 4 strokes are ok??? lol....why build a fourstroke if your new e-tec 600 (that's supposedly lighter and better than any 4 stroke), is the way to go??? It makes no sense to me...ski-doo is speaking out of both sides of their mouth. BTW has anybody else noticed the new etec is down on HP compared to the sdi (117hp-121hp)....and that the old 03's (600 h0) actually were dynoed at 123 HP....??? Isn't Strange how the more epa complaint a two stroke becomes...the less power it has.

I've seen a lot of guys on TY say 100-110 is the typical range. Even if it's 130, that's nice range...for a 2s.
There is nothing hypocritical at all about Doo releasing a 4s. The fact that it is the World's lightest performance 4s is consistent with their position for the past several years. They continue to raise the bar with their 2s technology and may have a solid 4s to offer. Doo's 4s doesn't have to compete with their 2s, it competes with Yam's 4s. That's just good business.
Oh, I think you miss the point. It isn't the 4s that gets slammed. It's the sleds they come in. They just haven't been that good(when compared to the best 2s). They have either been way too heavy or had handling or suspension problems.

Amsnot is to Yamahahaha what the mainstream media is to liberal. Bias.
That's why I stopped getting it. How is the #4 manufacturer constantly the best sled ever made over there?
If you like it, ride it. If you want to ride the real soty, the lightweight bump champ, read slow-server.
Only reason doo makes a 4 is because some of you all won't purchase a two stroke, clean or not.
