Hot topic on the news right now is the Big 3 bailout. Of course there are those idiots out there who say just let em die. Well if they do die the ripple effect on not only the USA but Canada will be tragic. Now I know the unions need to do some tweeking on their contracts to let the auto companies stay viable but they also need support from the buying public. Go to any store and look on the shelves and what do you see , of course you see Made in China, it seems to me that the American companies that shipped our jobs overseas are run by greedy idiots that have no concept that if you take a persons job away he/she can no longer afford to buy the chinese made piece of******you are trying to sell. Face it a global economy does not work when the trade is so unfair. Today's American and Canadian built products by the big 3 get as if not better mileage than the foreign competitors and the quality is also there. How unfair is it that we allow 700,000 cars in the US from Korea but because of trade laws and tariffs only 6500 of ours were allowed in their country. This is not a Polaris is better or Arctic Cat is better or ski-doo this is a plea to anyone in the market for a new vehicle or snowmobile to PLEASE pick domestic, you have no idea on how far the job losses will be including the possibility of your own. How much riding can we afford to do if nobody is working? We need to seriously pray for our country as this is the greatest crisis we have had since the great depression and could actually be even worse

Praying will do no good, dont which god is the real one. Product quality is just fine with the big 3. Worst piece of junk vehicle I have ever owned was a lexus rx300. The legacy costs of useless union workers are the problem. As well as silly work rules and out of line benifits. They have set them selves up as a special protected class of workers making about 4 times what the average American earns. You cant have some one who is paid $71/hr preaching to people making $15 to $20/hr to suck it up and bail them out. Without major consesions by the UAW the big 3 are living on bowrowed time. Any of you who own a business know I am right.

Everybody wants to blame the unions for everything , yes some of their rules are ridiculous, but I DARE you to compare driveways , who can afford to buy the cars and SNOWMOBILES and houses and boats and everything else that keeps our economy going it is the WELL PAID WORKER. We have NO government subsidies like they do in Japan or Korea to help the worker. Go to a persons house who makes the 7 or even 12 dollar an hr job they are just struggling to GET BY and have NOTHING for extras.

It is not the hourly wage that is the problem you ignorant loser. When you have more people drawing pensions than you do working(barely), no business can survive. American auto companys pay more foe health care per car than it cost to build the whole car in china.
I drive a chevy and an oldsmobile so I am not bashing the product. If the executives worked for free the big three would still be BK. It is because of the Unions 100%.
Blame the customer for not being willing to $50,000 for a pickup is pathetic. That is what it would take to pay these lazy slugs there outlandish packages.
Wake up Americans. The retired are bankrupting us. We are talking about 55 year old men who think they should be able to suck off the company for 30 years without producing anything, after working for 30 years. Completley unrealistic, obviously. Bankruptsy may be the only thing that can save these companies because then the contracts would be voided.

Chapter 11, restructure contracts to be profitable, then apply low interest Govt loan to retool and build future products. Fair trade should go along with it.

Unfortunately, you have ignorant people calling others ignorant, and spewing FALSE information because they either can't or won't take the time to EDUCATE themselves.
The American Auto Industry is for all practical purposes, the LAST of our FANUFACTURING Industry.
If we lose this, our country will see the same fate as every other world dominent empire throughout history. And we'll see it in our lifetime.
