Diesel went down to $2.69 today.
I topped off the truck and sprayed 6 gallons on the ground for the fun of it.

MC-
this year we did recieved a 2k check. It's not every year, some years it's like $4-$500.00, it all depends on what the stock market does. And 2K does not mean sh!t IF you get sick or hurt and a ambulance ride (airplane to the closest trama center) cost 20g's+.
Most Alaskans still spend 50% or more of their annual income on heating and power to their homes. Then when we use government $$ to build our infastructure the liberal media makes headlines about us trying to build "bridges to nowhere." Which BTW was a bridge connecting a small city on the mainland, to their airport, which is on a island about 500 yards away.
Hawaii which is also a state in caase you did not know, (about the size of New England) has a more extensive road system then Alaska does.
I could go on for hours why AK is important to the USA, but some of you east coast types seem to think the world ends at the Washington DC border. Anything after that is irrevlant.

Gas is even about 2 in the city, under 2 in the suburbs. The big picture is the need for oil in everything. Plastics, lubes, etc. They can't move anything without it, so when it goes up everything goes up.
Why is fuel so high? Demand from trucking? It's the garbage that they used to throw out.

Riggs, Rudolf Diesel invented the diesel engine around 1890 to replace the steam engine and bring the end to coal dust. These engines were designed to run on a soy based veggie oil until pressure from the oil industry.
