Your preaching to the wrong people Snotty. Go to the land of the liberals, the coasts and try to find an American made car. We in the heartland still try to buy cars from the big three.

Snotcicles wrote: I don't think anybody gets it MC. The big 3 want 25 billion to help them get back on thier feet. How is that gonna help? If nobody is buying cars, how will it help them? If China buys them out, will people start buying cars then? Auto sales in US is down across the board, it's just the big 3 with thier fat cat ceo's thought the SUV craze was gonna last forever. Four dollar a gallon gas took care of that and thier high margin vehicle sales went down the shyter. What our elected officials should do is, instaed of giving the big 3 our money, use it for incentive money for potential car buyers. Something like: Buy a Ford, Chrysler, GM product and claim the sales tax on your tax return. Buy a Big 3 hybrid and we pay the tax PLUS a green tax rebate of 2k. If we can get people buying cars, then the rest will take care of itself.
I am still waiting for whats his name in the white house to promote US made products.
My mayor promotes products made in my city.
My Chamber of Commerce promotes products made in my city.
My state Senator promotes products made in my state.
Why doesn't my Unites States president promote products made in the US?

Let's face it....people were buying on credit, especially younger people. Come on we all knew that the sh!t would hit the fan eventually. I mean everything was always about the payment, not about the price or the interest or the total amount being owed. Always the payment, so people just kept buying on credit. Granted the greed of the auto industry, the unions, the housing industry, the banks, the mortgage companies, the politicians, the lobbyists, and our disposable society, along with the bigger is always better philosophy over the years have brought us to this point.
But I can not find it within myself to feel sympathy when the UAW says it won't make any concessions! And the CEO's have raped the companies....
Face it, we are all spoiled. We don't have a clue what it was like to live through the depression and to compare today to then is just total BS!

If the Chinese buy GM joint operations in China... how does that harm American operations and employment?
