Thanks for all the hard work putting this event together! I thought it was pretty sweet for 2 of the Ely guys to win at thier "home" track. I wish you could have had some better weather but your crowds were excellent considering the circumstances.

Also congrats to Chad Maki for taking both Pro Oval classes this weekend, that is quite an accomplishment!

I can't wait to get the photo finish picture that Bill Erzar took of the Mod Drag final. I will post it here when I get it, 3 sleds within 6 inches of each other at the finish line. We were lucky to have him there with that camera, that race was literally "too close to call" by the human eye at 75+ MPH.

Thanks Mike. It would have been nice to have warm weather, but like you said, there were some die-hard fans that stayed and toughed it out. It was nice to see that all the hard work paid off. Hopefully next years event is even better. A huge thanks to everyone that came and put on such a good show for the fans. Also, a huge thanks to all the other sites for putting in such long hours to make a race happen. It is unbelievable the amount of work that goes into putting on an event and it is much appreciated. The IWA did a great job. And Skip, you were awesome as always! Way to keep the fans in their seats. Even through the rain. Thanks for toughing it out everyone.

Congrats Maki!

Despite Mother Nature, the race in Ely was great! "The Wolf Pack" really knows how to host a show!! What a great bunch of racers!!
I am just "Sandy's fill-in" for Skip, but I have a great time!
Please help me in congratulating "the Newly Weds" on the eve of their 20th Aniversary... Skip and Sandy Schulz were joined in wedded bliss on June 30th, 1989!!
WAY TO GO!!
PS. I hope Sandy appreciates the gift of Maggie D's Marinade (made exclusively by Leo Dunlavy) you brought home for her from the Ely race!!
Hey, Skip- Make sure that you remember to tell Sandy that you not only paid $200.00 for it, instead of the $100.00, per bottle that Leo was charging, but that now she has to do all of the hunting now, so you can try it out!! LOL
LOVE IT!
Can't wait to help you celebrate on the 4th!!!

Thanks guys! It was a great weekend, and I couldn't have asked for it to go any better. Skip, as always, you did a great job of announcing. And to Kelly and the Wolfpack, great job setting the race up and getting it all lined up. Kelly and Chris, awesome job in your classes, you both looked awesome!

The drag finish was nuts! It's not everyday you get beat by half a sled length and get dead last!! That picture is pretty cool.
