New 2014 Yamaha Snowmobiles On Display Tonight

Minneapolis-area snowmobilers can be among the first consumers to see the new 2014 Yamaha snowmobiles if they act fast tonight.

The SR Viper lineup – powered by a Yamaha 1049cc four-stroke triple but built at the Arctic Cat factory in Minnesota – is the highlight of the full 2014 Yamaha line shown first to dealers Wednesday at the company’s dealer convention. Well, since the sleds are already in town and there’s so much buzz about them, Yamaha is extending its stay at the Minneapolis Downtown Hilton for another day, and inviting Joe Average Snowmobiler to join in the fun.

The Hilton is between 10th and 11th Streets on Marquette Avenue in downtown Minneapolis.  Once you get there, signs inside the hotel will lead you to the new equipment. The event runs between 4 and 8 p.m., when the sleds plus gear and accessories from Yamaha and its vendors will be on display.

Aside from the new SR Viper RTX SE, SR Viper, SR Viper LTX, SR Viper LTX SE and SR Viper XTX built on the SRV chassis (called the ProCross when on an Arctic Cat), Yamaha’s 2014 line also includes many returning Apex, Nytro, Vector, Venture and Phazer models, many of them updated with new Tuner skis.
