Busy Weekend Of Racing Action: Will Hibbert Gain Record? Have You Made Your Fantasy Picks?

With those pesky holidays and huge family meals out of the way, it’s time to get back to snowmobile racing, and that’s exactly what’s going to happen starting today.

The January 3-5 weekend certainly isn’t as packed with action as next weekend, when the vast majority of circuits get rolling in 2014, there’s still plenty of competition this weekend across the snowbelt.

There’s even live racing right here on snowgoer.com, with the live webcast of the ISOC Amsoil Championship Series event from Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota. So, if it’s too cold to go outside in your neck of the woods, curl up with a warm laptop or tablet and enjoy some hot action. Click here to watch live racing.

Hibbert Goes For History

The ISOC circuit is back in action after a three week layoff, and all eyes are on Tucker Hibbert. Whether you’re cheering for or against the snocross dominator, his No. 68 Arctic Cat is the one to watch. He’s currently tied with Blair “Superman” Morgan for the most professional snocross victories (84), and based on his performance so far this year (he’s undefeated and unchallenged in four finals) odds are good he’ll win at least one of the two finals this weekend and move into the lead.

“I can’t think of a better place to have a shot to break Blair’s record than Canterbury Park, with the massive crowds we always enjoy there,” Hibbert said in an ISOC press release. “Last year I was able to sweep the podium at Canterbury, so I’m definitely looking forward to getting back there to defend our title and start the year off with some excellent results.”

If you’re going to watch the race, you might as well play the snowgoer.com Fantasy Snowmobile Racing Challenge game by clicking here. Predict the finishing order of the top six racers by using pull-down windows, and get points based upon how those racers actually finish. It’s easy, free and fun. Picks are due tomorrow morning.
