The somewhat annual Snow Goer Great Escape Tour is back for this coming winter, and the adventure that is planned is bound to be memorable.
The tour, a partnership between Snow Goer magazine and Decker Sno Venture Tours, will be a circuitous, five-day ride across northern and central Minnesota, including exclusive factory tours and overnight stays in the Polaris hometown of Roseau and the Arctic Cat hometown of Thief River Falls. The two manufacturers have promised insider information to tour participants, so maybe we’ll celebrate the past and the future in the two factory towns. Even if you’re not an Arctic Cat or Polaris rider, this is the trip of a lifetime, the eighth Snow Goer Great Escape.
Much like all Decker Tours, this early February trip is a fully guided, point-to-point adventure, with participants leaving Grand Rapids, Minnesota, on snowmobiles at the beginning of the tour and returning to that same point five days later with an extra 700-800 miles on their odometer. In between, there are overnight stays planned at various destinations, visits to the headwaters of the Mississippi River, drop-ins on the famous Lake Mille Lacs and Lake of the Woods, and much more. Luggage gets transported in a support vehicle and is waiting for participants each night when they arrive on sled at the pre-arranged hotel.
