Tucker Hibbert Nominated For ESPY Award

Tucker Hibbert has been nominated for a 2015 ESPY award.

Winning snocross races has been standard procedure for Tucker Hibbert since the turn of the century, but now he can add “receive prestigious award nomination” to his list of routine occurrences.

Hibbert has been nominated for a 2015 ESPY in the Best Male Action Sport Athlete category, and this year marks the third time the 31-year-old has been in the running to win the award. If Hibbert wins, he will become the first snowmobiler to take home the award.

Hibbert won 13 of 17 finals during the 2014-15 ISOC season, including his 100th Pro National win. He also won a record-breaking eighth consecutive X Games gold medal. Other category nominees include Supercross champion Ryan Dungey, skateboarder Nyjah Huston, snowboarder Mark McMorris and freestyle motocross athlete Josh Sheehan.

“With all the talented action sports athletes around the world, it’s a huge honor to be nominated but I’d really like to take home the ESPY this year. A snowmobiler has never won this award so it’d be a big win for the sport. I know snowmobilers are a passionate group of people so hopefully they’ll all put in their vote!” Hibbert said.

The awards show will air on ABC on July 15 at 8:00 pm ET. Go here to cast your vote for Best Male Action Sport Athlete.
