Snowmobile manufacturers keep pressing on and developing exciting, experience-improving technology for snowmobiles. Every year, Arctic Cat, Polaris, Ski-Doo and Yamaha unveil new designs and features that make their snowmobiles perform better, last longer and make snowmobiling more fun.

For the 2013 snowmobiles, Arctic Cat has worked a few tweaks into its F series and M models, not to mention expanded its XF crossover lineup. Are you an ultra-aggressive trail rider? Then Cat has the perfect sled for you.

Excitement is brewing over the new drive train that Polaris worked up for its 2013 Pro-RMK models, and as minute as it might seem, ergonomics changes to many models improves the ride.

Ski-Doo also put major effort into its mountain machines and released an all-new rear suspension that makes select Summit models easier to maneuver in the deep snow. And new bodywork make some trail models more comfortable.

Yamaha will install a new ski on trail-based FX Nytro models that was designed to make those snowmobiles handle more predictably. Yamaha also expanded its touring snowmobile lineup for 2013, adding two models to the mix.

Despite that the winter of 2011-12 was mostly a bust across the Snowbelt, the Big Four have come out with exciting 2013 snowmobiles that are worth checking out.
