Snowmobilers looking for new riding gear, new places to ride, performance parts for their sleds, trailers to carry them in or just about anything else to allow them to enjoy their favorite winter hobby will have a broad selection to choose from this coming weekend.
There will be more than 100 displayers at the 20th annual Progressive Big East Powersports Show when it kicks off on Friday, October 4, at the Oncenter in Syracuse, New York, and runs through Sunday afternoon. The show has become the biggest indoor snowmobile show in the East, attracting a big crowd that kicks off the snowmobile pre-season with style.
The Big East Powersports Show is always a great place to get deals on jackets, bibs, boots, gloves, base layers and other apparel for the upcoming season at unbeatable prices. It’s also a place to come see the sleds from all four major snowmobile manufacturers – including hot new models this year like Yamaha’s SR Viper RTX SE, the Arctic Cat ZR 6000 El Tigré, Polaris 800 Indy SP and Ski-Doo MX Z X-RS E-TEC 800R. New this year, Phantom Snowmobiles will display at the show with its new line of “tweener” sleds.
Discovering performance options is also a common reason to come to the show, and this year there are more performance-oriented displayers than in recent history. Plus, there will be a new youth section from Ecklund Motorsports, drawings for two new snowmobiles, new web aps from NYSnowmobileWebMaps, interesting new skis and countless other attractions are planned for the show.

Dealer Displays
The big dealer displays from throughout the country are a main draw for many show attendees, who swarm in to get the season’s best deals and to check out various lines of snowmobile clothing and accessories. Last year, there were 18 brands of snowmobile jackets for sale at the Big East.
In alphabetic order, here are some of the big dealers that will be exhibiting at this year’s Big East Powersports Show: Bonner Sports, Bristows, D&D Powersports, Ecklund Motorsports, F&S Yamaha, First Place Parts, Highlands Yamaha, Indial River Sports Center, Ingles Performance, J&D Sales, Korky’s Outpower, RMK’s Apparel, Smart Power Sport and Yamaha of Port Washington.
Also, companies like 509 Inc., Cold Wave, Klim Sled Wear and Sled Bitch/Sled Diva will be showcasing more clothing options in brand-specific booths, and Ski-Doo has a huge new display at the show this year showcasing its parts, accessories and clothing. As you can see, there’ll be a lot to choose from.
The new Youth Outlet from Ecklund Motorsports is part of a family-friend atmosphere being promoted at the show. The first 50 people for whom a youth ticket is purchased at the show Saturday and Sunday morning (ages 6-12) will receive a certificate which they can redeemed at the Ecklund Youth Outlet for a free Snow Goer T-shirt.
Get Snowmobile Performance
Looking to make your snowmobile run better, transfer more of its power and hook up stronger? There are plenty of options to explore at the Big East Powersports Show, as displayers come from as far as Idaho and Montana to provide snowmobilers with a peek at what’s possible.
Companies like Bikeman Performance, D&D Powersports, DynoJet Research, Dynoport and Starting Line Products provide exhaust systems, high compression cylinder heats and entire performance packages. Others, like Hygear Motorsports or MBRP, provide important performance components. Talk to the folks from Stud Boy/Liberty Products, Woody’s/International Engineering, Mack Studs, Ulimate Sports Inc. or Curve XS about having a better connection to the trail with, or the team at CVTech or Super Torquer about directing a cleaner path through the clutching. Move Your Ride
So if you’ve got your sled and your riding gear, now how are you going to move that sled around? If you’re looking for an easy way to move it around the garage or shop, Easymove Snowmobile Carts will be at the show as always showing off its high-quality options.

Looking for new places to ride? The Big East Show is a perfect spot to investigate your options, far and wide.
Showcasing some of the best options in the Empire State will be Hamilton County Tourism, the Lewis County Chamber, Oneida County, Oswego Tourism and the Town of Webb/Central Adirondacks.
Quebec also has a strong showing in this market, and will again this year. Displayers include the AMVN Snowmobile Club, Authentic Quebec, CLD D’antoine-Labelle, le Quebec Maritime and Tourism Abitibi Temiscamingue. Another Canadian option will be displayed at the Round Algonquin Park booth.
